ASSESSMENTS
My focus on neuroaffirming care is at the forefront of my assessment practice, and clients often seek my help with figuring out how to make sense of really complex symptom presentations. I bring a nuanced understanding of the many ways symptoms related to ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, autism, giftedness, trauma and other neurodiversities can overlap and interact. Every assessment is as unique as every client, and my process always involves a deep dive into all available data and a customized battery of evaluation instruments. The outcome is an analysis that sheds light on each individual's strengths and areas of challenge as well as any diagnoses that apply. Clients usually express a sense of relief at the end of this process when patterns of frustrations and difficulties are named, "de-shamed," and understood. Results guide treatment directions and are also often used to inform IEPs and school or workplace accommodations.
Comprehensive Educational Neuropsychological Assessment
Comprehensive educational neuropsychological assessments help with diagnostic questions related to learning differences, ADHD, giftedness, executive functioning challenges, or developmental disabilities such as autism. This is a "soup to nuts" process, yielding a complete report of findings, relevant diagnoses, and recommendations for support, remediation, and treatment. This is my most comprehensive and commonly requested assessment.

IQ/Giftedness Testing
IQ/Giftedness testing determines cognitive strengths for the purposes of school applications or career decisions. Some local schools that cater to gifted students, such as Nueva, Harker, and Helios, require IQ tests as part of their admissions process. IQ testing also helps reveal when areas of strength are masking underlying difficulties, as is the case with twice exceptional (2E) individuals.

Learning Disability Assessment
Testing instruments such as IQ tests and achievement tests are used to help diagnose dyslexia, dysgraphia, or other underlying learning disabilities that impede academic or work-related performance.

ADHD Assessment
When focusing, impulsivity, motivation, task management, or other executive functioning challenges are part of the picture, testing can reveal whether or not an ADHD diagnosis is applicable. Can be administered both in person and online.

Autism Assessment
Individuals may seek an autism assessment to help contextualize and understand sensory, social, and behavioral differences, often co-occurring with areas of intense focus and ability.
