Assessments
Assessments offer valuable insight and diagnostic clarity when there are challenges around academics, social skills, or other aspects of everyday functioning. For example, symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, autism, and other neurodiversities often interact with and magnify each other. Quite commonly, people seek assessments to determine which, if any, of these diagnostic categories apply, as the outcome may highlight very different intervention pathways.
Every assessment is unique and involves a deep study of all available data. The result is an analysis that sheds light on each individual's strengths and areas of challenge. Clients usually express a sense of relief at the end of this process when patterns of frustrations and difficulties are named, "de-shamed," and understood. Assessments include a customized battery of evaluation instruments as well as a complete report of findings, relevant diagnoses, and recommendations for support, remediation, and treatment.
